grandmother in Kazakhstan

My grandmother, Zofia Pundyk (nee Stratkowlska) was taken from the town where my family were from, Kolomyja, to a camp in Kazakhstan in 1940. My grandfather was a sergeant in the army and was not with her. My father was sent to Switzerland as an intern to study. They never saw her again and my father would never speak to me of this time in his life. I so desperately want to know. Can anyone tell me about Kolomyja and where in Kazakhstan those Poles were sent to?
